The Moving Animals Archive
Globally, around 72 billion land animals and over 1.2 trillion aquatic animals are killed for consumption every year. When confronted with such huge numbers, it can be hard to picture the individuals behind the stats. Powerful visuals can help to bridge that gap. They allow others to witness the injustice and violence that is so carefully hidden from us.
Since 2018, Moving Animals have been working on the ground around the world to document animals’ stories. This archive is a continuously growing collection of photographs of animal-related issues from around the world, free-to-use for media desks, journalists, NGOs, and activists.
This is also a space to bear witness to some of the concealed atrocities that are happening to animals every single day.
